Zonta Club

The Zonta Club of Northern Valley supports programs for Shelter Our Sisters and Bergen County Rape Crisis Center. Founded in the early 1900s, Zonta International is a worldwide organization working to advance the status of women through advocacy and service projects.

Demarest 5k Run for Your Health

Now, more than ever, it is important to emphasize the value of exercise as a critical part of health. The Annual Demarest 5k is an opportunity not just to run one day, but to become part of an ongoing exercise program. This family event is doable for people of all ages and skill levels, and includes a one-mile “Fun Run,” as well.

Dumont Day’s Annual 5K Run

The Dumont Day’s Annual 5K Run is not only a 5K, but also offers a 1.5 mile walk, a 1.5 mile kids’ run, and a .5 mile kids’ sprint to the finish for ages 5-10 years. Proceeds benefit the Dumont Cares Fund, which assists Dumont residents in need.

Midnight Run Coat Drive

Midnight Run is a volunteer organization that provides over one thousand relief missions a year. The group distributes food and clothing, blankets and hygiene items to NYC homeless.

Friendship House

The North Jersey Friendship House assists those with disabilities on a path to wellness, with a goal of enhancing quality of life. Friendship House offers a highly successful Adults with Autism Day Program, Partial Care Day Treatment, Vocational Rehabilitation Programs and counseling opportunities.

The Michael LaViola Foundation

Celebrating the life of Michael F. LaViola, this foundation supports research into clinical sarcomas not normally funded by major foundations. In addition, the organization gives two annual scholarships to graduating Northern Valley Old Tappan High School students.

The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey: Walk for Thought

For over three decades, the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey has offered education, outreach, prevention, advocacy and support services to all persons affected by brain injury.
